WELCOME
Iglesia El Verbo is a primarily Spanish speaking church in the city of Ogden, Utah. Our Vision is to connect people in our area to a vibrant, loving and growing relationship with Christ Jesus. It is our hope and dream to tell the good news and lead them into a life of grace, faith, love and service. Action is the word we want to be remembered by, to be in active pursuit of God's designs and promises for our lives and the community.
Our city
Over 24 thousand people representing 30% of the populations in Ogden, Utah are Hispanic or Latinos. The city of Ogden is lively, culturally unique and peaceful in nature. It is a growing city including a large Hispanic community and several nationally recognized revitalization projects in the works. In the winter of 2014, God called us to work in this beautiful city and we have been doing so faithfully. Our first service was Easter day 2018 and we want to become a force of change in our community. Our Mission is to bring to fruition what Jesus came to do in the world.
Our vision
Our vision is to build up a congregation in Ogden, Utah to reach out to those in our community who feel hurt, lonely, rejected-those who are tired of faking it, those who need a fresh start, those who want to do something which matters. We want to create a system to take them intentionally through a biblical path of development resulting in real life change. Our vision includes creating a culture of honesty, transparency, to be of integrity without gossip, freedom without prejudice, boldness without hesitation and action without expecting something in return. Our vision includes a goal to prepare and send leaders, pastors and members to fulfill Christ's transformational mission.
Our dream
Our dream is to see people receiving transformed life through Jesus-living in spiritual and emotional freedom, developing authentic friendships, and welcoming people as they are, without prejudice. We believe in the transformational power of Jesus Christ to change lives and compassionately guiding others to experience Him, without rushing their process. The outcome- commitment to the mission Jesus left us in His word and to draw nearer to Him day by day transforming our hearts to be reflections of His heart.
